Jessy Griffel, MS, RD, LN, CNSC
Jessy has worked the last seven years of her career striving to make positive impacts on patients' nutrition care in various medical settings - general medical, neurosurgical trauma and oncology.
Her approach is to provide nutrition guidance, education and support with ease, compassion and clarity, bridging the gap between the hospital and home for those navigating nutrition for cancer and those with feeding tubes. Her hands-on demonstrations help individuals understand and feel at ease with how to manage feeding tubes to meet their unique nutrition needs
Jessy specializes in: Oncology - supporting individuals through cancer treatment, remission, malnutrition, food aversions, focused nutrition care and enteral nutrition support therapy (tube feeding support) and preventive strategies. Athletes/outdoor enthusiast, plant-based (vegetarian/vegan) diets, nutritional deficiencies and abnormal lab values, and weight concerns.
Jessy sees clients in-person in Bozeman and virtually throughout Montana.
Education and Work History
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences from the University of Wyoming and completed her postgraduate dietetic training through Idaho State University. Jessy recently earned her Masters in Sustainable Food Systems from Montana State University where she also received the College of Education Health and Human Development Outstanding Graduate Award.
Jessy has previous work experience as an in-patient clinical dietitian in the medical/neurosurgical trauma unit at Intermountain Healthcare, St Vincent Healthcare. She has also contributed her expertise at St. Vincent Healthcare Cancer Center in Billings, Montana, where she worked in both in-patient and out-patient oncology care. Along with seeing clients at Northern Nutrition Group, she currently teaches undergrad dietetic courses at MSU. Additionally, Jessy is certified and specialized in providing nutritional support for patients requiring feeding tubes.
