Outpatient Therapist (In-person and virtual)
Now Hiring! Seeking a licensed or pre-licensed therapist to join our dietitian team. We specialize in addressing all nutrition related concerns, treating eating disorders, supporting families, and helping individuals build healthier relationships with food and their bodies. If you are looking for a job that mimics working in your own private practice, without the admin work, NNG may be the place for you!
About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, motivated therapist who is excited to work collaboratively with dietitians. The ideal candidate is comfortable with both individual and group work, interested in feeding dynamics across the lifespan, and has a healthy relationship with food.

Well-versed in a variety of modalities and confident in integrating them into treatment (DBT, CBT, EMDR; MI certification is a plus)
Comfortable working with a wide range of ages, including children, teens, young adults, and adults
Skilled and passionate about conducting group treatment
Provide individual, family, and group therapy with a focus on eating disorders, feeding dynamics, trauma and related concerns
Actively participate in our meal support program
Collaborate with NNG team and outside providers for coordinated treatment
Complete documentation that meets clinical and insurance standards
Engage in team meetings, case consultation, and occasional community education or outreach
Willing to participate in marketing efforts to build client load

Qualifications
Licensed or pre-licensed in Montana
For pre-licensed candidates: completion of an accredited master’s program and eligibility for supervision in Montana
Interest or experience in eating disorders and/or family-based treatment strongly preferred
Comfortable leading groups and working in interdisciplinary settings
Master’s degree in mental health or related field

Hybrid model: in-person services in Bozeman and telehealth across Montana
Availability between 15–40 hours per week, beginning part-time as client load builds to full-time
W2 position, full-time defined as 32+ hours per week
Liability insurance required

Competitive pay (hourly/session rate or salary range dependent on experience, shared during interview)
Clinical supervision for pre-licensed therapists

Must be able to counsel within a weight-inclusive approach
Conducts individual outpatient sessions
Provides the Nutrition Care Process
Completes client nutritional assessments
Creates individualized nutrition therapy plans & meal plans
Documents in accordance with policy, procedure, and clinical practice guidelines
Lead or co-lead meal support groups, cooking classes and support groups. Willing to actively participate as needed in future programs, classes and groups.
Provides guidance and assists clients with real-life nutrition tasks such as meal planning, grocery shopping, menu ordering, kitchen skills, cooking, etc.
Provides regular and continuous correspondence with the client's care team (doctors, therapist, psychiatrist, physical therapist, etc).
Actively engages in on-going education related to nutrition therapy for specialty.
Performs other job functions as assigned or requested such as networking, creating handouts and resources, attending community, events, tending booths and marketing events, etc.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited program and registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Masters degree post 2023
Montana licenced registered dietitian in good standing
1+ years' experience working as a Registered Dietitian
Ability to work with clients in-person at the office, in client’s home or separate location and remotely
Experience with eating disorders or willingness to learn

Northern Nutrition Group provides in-person and virtual outpatient nutrition counseling to individuals in Montana. Our mission is to provide easy access to medical nutrition therapy and expert nutrition counseling, education and guidance in a safe, non-judgmental space.
