Our Team

Patricia Kunz, RD, LN, CIEC

Patricia brings experience in community and clinical nutrition to Northern Nutrition Group. As a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor currently pursuing her Certified Eating Disorder Specialist credential, she integrates intuitive eating principles thoughtfully, introducing them when appropriate and recognizing that for many in eating disorder recovery, these approaches are best incorporated once stability and confidence with food have been reestablished.

Her care is grounded in evidence-based medical nutrition therapy and shaped by self-compassion and practical skill-building. Patricia provides the clinical structure and guidance needed to ensure nutritional needs are met, while supporting patients in developing confidence in self-care for lasting health and improved quality of life.

Patricia specializes in: Eating disorders, disordered eating patterns, intuitive eating, and general wellness.

Patricia sees clients in-person in Bozeman and virtually throughout Montana.

Education and Work History

Patricia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from the University of Montana Western and a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from Montana State University. She completed her postgraduate dietetic internship through the Montana Dietetic Internship program.

Her early career focused on community-based nutrition education, working with K–8 schools and the MSU Extension SNAP-Ed program to provide hands-on education for youth and families. In this role, Patricia collaborated with local organizations serving individuals and families experiencing food insecurity, helping expand access to practical nutrition resources and skill-building opportunities.

She later transitioned to private practice, providing individualized nutrition counseling with an emphasis on repairing disordered eating patterns and fostering a healthier, more flexible relationship with food. Her sessions integrated support, education, and resources such as menu planning, grocery store tours, and kitchen skill development tailored to each client’s needs and comfort level.

Patricia began the process of earning her Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) credential in June 2025. She will complete her coursework by fall 2025 and is currently accruing supervised patient care hours toward certification.

She is also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor (CIEC) and an active member of EDRD Pro, where she continues her education in evidence-based approaches to eating disorder recovery and weight-inclusive nutrition care.
